Shamrock Boot

The Shamrock boot was Dubarry of Ireland’s first ever sailing boot and was the product of decades of experience in wet and wild conditions of the West Coast of Ireland. Right from the 1930s Dubarry developed exceptional leather shoes, designed to meet the challenges of such rugged conditions and by the 1970s had gained international recognition for its brand leather in sailing footwear.

This success and reputation spurred the company on to develop a sailing boot, and in the1990’s Dubarry obtained a GORE-TEX license and created the world’s first ever waterproof and breathable leather sailing boot, the Shamrock.

The Shamrock, combines highest quality pull-up leather with a unique DryFast-DrySoft™ water-resistant finish with a hard wearing Cordura® material and is lined with GORE-TEX waterproof and breathable membrane. Soles are watertight, made with Duo compound PU and rubber, and elasticated panels on the back of the boost give room for various calf sizes with comfort.

The success of the Shamrock lead to Dubarry’s renowned sailing collection, giving sailors the confidence to cross waters across the globe, in the knowledge they are wearing waterproof warm and durable footwear.
